New Google Translate update brings word definitions and easy account switching

If you are a frequent user of Google Translate, you will be happy to know that the mobile application has just received an excellent update designed to make your life a little easier.

Perhaps the most important feature included in the new version of 5.8 is the addition of word definitions. This allows you to easily find the exact meaning of the individual words that you are translating. You can find a new feature at the bottom of the page, below in the “Alternative Translations” section.

As mentioned above, only single words can be defined, so putting whole phrases for translation will not do you any good. On the bright side, the section places the selected word in illustrative sentences to demonstrate Reviews of their use, and the definitions are given in the original language. For example, if you translate from Dutch to English, the definition will be displayed in Dutch.

In addition, Google Translate is finally getting a feature that is present in almost other Google applications – easy account switching. It works very much like one on your Gmail, which allows several accounts to be added and dial-up quickly interfering with one device.

Vodafone allegedly reveals Samsung Galaxy S8 price in Europe

Samsung Galaxy S8 and its more related, S8 Plus, is expected to eventually make their official appearance tomorrow, but details about the two phones continued to leak. The last piece of the big S8 puzzle is the price: we heard from various sources that the price of the new phone will be higher than the Galaxy S7 family, with several different prices for different markets.

Today we hear news about the price of the S8 Galaxy family in Europe and the Czech Republic, in particular. Information allegedly came from Vodafone Czech Republic. Here are the numbers:

Galaxy S8 – 21 977 CZK (equivalent to approximately € 815)
Galaxy S8 + – CZK 24,977 (equal to € 925)

Keep in mind that the price in euros is an indicator of the average price of the Galaxy S8 in Europe.

As you can see clearly, the trend is confirmed: the Galaxy S8 will most likely cost more than its predecessor, at least initially. For comparison, last year we had to follow the price for the S7 series in Europe:

Galaxy S7 – € 700
Galaxy S7 Edge – € 800

We are curious to see how customers will respond to new prices higher. Chances are that in the United States, where the real value of the phone remains hidden in your monthly payments in one form or another, the higher the price will be less noticeable, but how in the global market where users are accustomed to paying the full retail price of the device? Only time will tell.

Your iPhone might feel faster with iOS 10.3

Apple released something really amazing 10.3 of the last iOS update for the iPhone and iPad: a few days later it changed the operating system on millions of devices without the usual user even noticing.

IOS 10.3 update, however, made another important change in iPhone’s experience: making the device feel faster.

Note that we say “feel faster”, and not “faster”.

What we mean is that Apple is supposed to shorten a lot of animation in iOS 10.3, so that the interaction in many interface elements is noticeably faster, without any changes in the actual clock speed of the processor.

We are playing around with 10.3-active iOS iPhone 6s here, and we can not differentiate ourselves, but it was at that time. Do you feel the improvement in speed came with iOS 10.3?
